I am Leyton Jay Cougar…I am the Wolf Daddy. I got that title from the many (nearly 4 hundred) wolves that I have rescued over the past two decades. I have hand raised from puppies around 20 or so wolves. Most of them were with me for their entire life.

My job…or better yet my life is dedicated to the rescue of captive bred wolves that have been sold or displaced through the exotic pet industry. My Motto is…Wild Animal Are Not Pets!!

Today our Sanctuary houses 51 wolves, 5 of the rarest dogs on planet earth…the New Guinea Singing Dog and one little red fox.

My passion and my desire is to educate the world that we MUST leave the wild, WILD!
Why on this beautiful green earth does any human feel the need to hold captive a wild animal?? Except to satisfy some perverted need to control another being…

I have been accused of having an agenda. HELL YA!! The agenda is…tear down the habitats, close down the sanctuary because there are no more humans breeding wolves and other wild animals as pets!!!!

Unfortunately my agenda is a pipe dream!! People will never stop breeding them so long as other people support the industry, by buying them…what breeders brush off and poo poo away is that they have created two to three or more industries besides breeding!!!!

The rescue industry to pick up their throw- a- ways and the euthanasia industry to kill the ones we can’t rescue…oh and by the way breeders SELL their animals NOT provide lifetime care for those they have bred!

Lastly breeders never support any of the industries they create…The cost of care for the lifetime of a wolf at our sanctuary is around $40,000.00 not including their habitat…find me one breeder that will give us $40,000.00 to care for an animal they bred, that we had to rescue and I will shut up!

In the mean time…I am standing on every soap box I can find and shouting to the world STOP BREEDING BUYING AND SELLING OUR WILD LIFE!!
